- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any written service quotation or scope agreed between us.
- "Watch" refers to any timepiece brought to the studio for assessment or service.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By contacting us through this website, visiting the studio, or requesting a service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Use of this website or our services is limited to individuals aged 18 and over, or those with legal capacity to enter into a service agreement in Malaysia.
3. Services Provided
Waktu Atelier offers three main watch repair services:
- Everyday Care Check — battery renewal (where applicable), seal inspection, exterior clean, and pressure testing of water-resistant models. Priced at RM 150.
- Complete Restoration — full movement disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, and timing regulation. Priced at RM 610.
- Strap & Fit Service — strap or bracelet fitting and sizing. Priced at RM 300.
Services are subject to assessment before commencement. We reserve the right to decline a service if, upon inspection, we determine it is outside our current scope or technical capability, and will inform you accordingly.
4. Service Agreement and Consent
No service work will begin without your agreement on the scope and price. If we identify additional requirements during a service, all work stops until we have informed you and received your consent to proceed. Any additions to the agreed scope are priced and confirmed separately before proceeding.
Verbal or written consent given at intake or during service constitutes agreement to the price and scope as communicated.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Prices for listed services are as published on this website. Payment is due on collection of the watch and is accepted in cash or by bank transfer at the studio.
We do not process payments through this website. Do not share payment card details via email or the contact form.
If a service is declined after intake assessment, no charge is made for the assessment itself.
6. Client Responsibilities
By leaving a watch with us, you confirm that:
- You are the owner of the watch or have the owner's authority to authorise service work
- The watch is not subject to any dispute, claim, or legal proceedings
- Any information you provide about the watch's history or condition is accurate to the best of your knowledge
Please inform us at intake of any known damage, previous repairs, or sensitivities relevant to the piece.
7. Care and Liability
We take reasonable care of all watches left with us for service. Each watch is documented on arrival and stored securely. Our liability for any damage caused during service is limited to the reasonable cost of remediation, not exceeding the quoted service price paid.
We are not liable for pre-existing faults or damage not identified at intake. This is one reason we provide a written condition note on arrival — so the state of the watch is recorded before any work begins.
Watches not collected within 60 days of notification of completion may be subject to a storage charge of RM 5 per day after the first 30 days, applied from day 31. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before any charge is applied.
8. Collection
We will notify you by phone or email when your watch is ready for collection. Please bring your intake receipt or confirm your name and the watch description on collection. We cannot release a watch to a third party without your prior written authorisation.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, and layout — is the property of Waktu Atelier. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any content from this site without our written permission.
10. Disclaimers
Watch repair involves inherent risk, particularly with older or previously damaged movements. While we take every care in our work, we cannot provide assurance of a particular outcome for all pieces, especially those in significantly deteriorated condition. We will discuss our assessment and realistic expectations with you before any work proceeds.
Information on this website is provided for general reference only and does not constitute technical advice.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Waktu Atelier's total liability to any client arising out of a single service transaction shall not exceed the price paid for that service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from a service or from the use of this website.
12. Dispute Resolution
We prefer to resolve any concerns directly and informally. If you are dissatisfied with a service, please contact us at [email protected] or call the studio. We will respond within five working days and work toward a reasonable resolution.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Selangor, Malaysia.
