Frequently Asked
Straightforward answers to what people usually ask before bringing a watch in.
How long does a complete restoration usually take?
A full movement service typically takes two to three weeks. This allows proper time for disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, oiling, reassembly, and timing regulation. We will give you an estimate when you bring the piece in.
Do you service all watch brands?
We work on most mechanical, automatic, and quartz watches from a wide range of brands. If you have something unusual, contact us first and we will tell you honestly whether it falls within what we handle.
What does the Everyday Care Check include, exactly?
It covers battery replacement where applicable, a seal inspection, and a careful exterior clean. On water-resistant watches we perform a pressure test, and we always provide a written condition note so you have a record of how the watch presented.
Can I wait at the studio while a simple service is done?
For battery changes and strap fittings, many visits are completed while you wait. For anything that requires closer inspection we prefer to have a little time before quoting, so a short wait or a return visit may be needed.
Are the service prices fixed, or can they change?
Our listed prices are our standard rates. If a watch needs something beyond the scope of a service — a spare part, for example — we will tell you first and get your agreement before proceeding. Nothing is added without your knowledge.
How do I know when my watch is ready?
We contact you by phone or email at each significant stage and again when the work is complete. Collection is by arrangement during studio hours.
